I love coaching people towards scary goals, whatever their starting point as I have been there and continue to chase adventure and challenge my athletic potential! I have been involved in the endurance / sport world for a number of years, with the last 6 of them coaching amateur to elite level athletes.
I come from an educational background with my masters degree from Loughborough university, UK strength and conditioning coaching accreditation and as an IRONMAN certified coach.
Endurance sport has changed my life, progressing from sprint to Ironman distance triathlons. My athletic highlights so far include - Statesman 70.3 extreme triathlon, Movember London - Paris turbo trainer relay (964km), 4 x Marathons, IRONMAN Italy, 100km trail Ultramarathon.
Coaching Method
With a deep-rooted passion for endurance sports and years of hands-on experience in conditioning, I specialise in helping runners and triathletes unlock their full potential. My approach blends science-backed training principles with a personal understanding of the demands of multi-sport and distance running, ensuring that every athlete I work with builds strength, resilience, and performance longevity.
Over the years, I have guided athletes across all levels — and specialise in middle to long-distance triathlons and marathons / ultra-matathons focusing not just on improving speed and endurance, but also on injury prevention, strength, body confidence and overall athletic durability, whilst enjoying the process.
My coaching focuses on open communication and building relationships based on trust between athlete and coach. A perfect plan won't work if you can't stick to it, so I believe in consistent check in’s with my athletes and building their plan so they can maximize their athletic potential without sacrificing other areas of their life.
We offer two monthly coaching rates: triathlon training for athletes preparing across all three disciplines, and single-sport coaching for those focused on just running, cycling, or swimming.

Sam has taken my training to the next level! I went from finding my workouts online and not progressing to having personalised sessions to me and my goals. Sam has guided me to my first marathon and 70.3 IRONMAN by helping me structure my training week, from S&C sessions, pre race nutrition strategies and learning how to swim and bike efficiently. He sends me voicenotes and we have a consistent call to check in on my progress, which has kept me motivated towards my goals. All around a great experience, my only regret is not getting a coach sooner.

Jordan Edwards- Prior to having Sam as my coach I had a place in the London marathon but was too injured to train and struggled getting back into training. Sam helped me rehabilitate my injuries through movement screening and gave me a personalized S&C program to get me back into shape. Whilst doing so we build the run volume back up from walk/runs to threshold sessions. And now I have completed the London Marathon 2025 and achieved a lot in a short space of time working with Sam, I would 100% recommend him.

When I first started with Sam, I couldn't run for even a minute without feeling exhausted, I felt stuck & frustrated. But with the right guidance, support, and a structured plan, everything began to change. Sam gave me Step by step coaching, building my running for just 30 seconds at a time, then a minute, then five. After weeks of consistent effort, not only did I complete my first 5km, but I also lost weight, felt stronger in my body, and experienced a massive shift in my mental health.
